About
Hi! My name is Broc Randall. I’m an artist working in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I graduated from from Northeastern State University with a bachelor’s degree in art, emphasizing in graphic design.
I now work for Tulsa University in the web services department. When I’m not hacking away at the computer, I enjoy creating art. My art is a collection of my imagination and inspiration that has been inspired by a variety of elements that I expose my self on a day-to-day basis. I would define my art as my journal depicted in visual form.
In my recent works, I have been exploring texture and incorporating recycled material to my work (often refereed as up-cycling). Mostly because my art budget is limited. And why lie “It’s Fun”. Example: In my piece “Junk Drawer” I found the frame in a garage sale. The frame was previously an old cracked mirror. I created a texture base on an old piece of Masonite board that I found in my garage (this acted as the canvas). I added mixed media material that I found in my junk drawer, hence the title “Junk Drawer”. Material such as bolts, nuts, screws, used sandpaper, tire cap, etc. With all the “Going Green” buzz I decided to paint it monochromatic green. After many adjustments “Junk Drawer” was created.
I’m always active in pursuing avenues’ to promote my art within the Tulsa Metro. My art has been on display at Joe Mommas Pizza (downtown Tulsa), Starbucks in Utica Square and The Art House on Cherry Street.
I created this site to share with you my love for art. My Lord and savior has blessed me with this talent and encouragement to proceed forward. Enjoy!
